Fire!, Fire!, Fire!, Call 911 Our House Is On Fire!

Fire!, Fire,! Fire!, Call 911 Our House Is On Fire! These are words that no one wants to hear. But what happens after these words are heard? Someone call 911, the Fire Department is toned out, paid and volunteer firefighters rush to the scene of the burning house. All of the occupants stand outside watching their house and a lifetime of memories go up in smoke. After a time the firefighters begin to pack up their equipment and return to the station. A family begins to think about where they will spend the night, and where they will spend tomorrow night and the night after that. Reality begins to set in. This is not going to be easy. For the kids and the parents involved fear about the future begins to creep in.

This is one more important ministry of Tipton Cares. Over the past number of months there have been a number of residential fires in Tipton County and a number of families have come to us for assistance. Helping a family after a fire takes on a number of different faces. Sometimes they need clothes, furniture, help finding a place to stay, etc. One of the things that we want to be able to do is to provide emergency housing for a family for up to five days and nights if necessary. What does it take to meet this goal? I'm glad you asked. We need around $100.00 per day to pay for a motel room and help with meals.

We are not just "another poor person asking for a handout". Funds donated to us will be used to provide assistance to our neighbors. A fire is a real traumatic event for those involved. Before you go out of town for a Memorial Day Weekend getaway, before you fire up the grill in the backyard this Memorial Day, let's work together to make sure our "Emergency Fire Funds" are in place. Click the "donate" button on the left, or sit down and write the check today. Let's all sleep better knowing that when emergencies happen, some of the answers are already taken care of. Our prayer is that we will not get another call about a house fire. But let's be ready if and when that call comes. Want to go one step further? We are looking for volunteers to be on call to help us provide the needed assistance when we get a fire call. We are looking for volunteers that will work closely with the family until we have provided all of the needed assistance. Donate and volunteer today! Have a safe and happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Happy Mother's Day To All Mothers

Happy Mother's Day To Moms Everywhere! May God Bless You Each And Every Day. Today's color red is to remind us of red roses on Mothers Day. God has been so good to us. My heart is broken as I think of all of the single moms who are struggling trying to raise the children and work a full time job just to make ends meet. Your financial contribution to Tipton Cares will help us provide assistance to a mother who's husband passed away in April. She came to us seeking help to pay the rent because the landlord was going to make her move. I cannot tell you all of the stories that have come our way recently, please on this Mother's Day remember to pray for all the moms who have come to us for assistance and for those who will come next week and the week after that. The Bible says, "you have not because you ask not." So I must ask, Please sit down today, and write a check to help support the ministry of Tipton Cares. We cannot help others without your help. God is so Good and we are trusting Him to meet the needs.

Thanks Mom!

P.S. We still have a limited number of Tipton Cares Cookbooks. For a donation of $10.00 or more we will give you a copy of our cookbook. For more information e-mail us at tiptoncares@gmail.com or call 901-840-2273.
