How many times have we thought about being a volunteer and just never made the call or sent the e-mail to make ourselves available? Sure it has happened to all of us. The children will be going back to school and you will have a little extra time on your hands. We are looking for volunteers who will spend a few hours contacting their friends on behalf of Tipton Cares. Contact us today by e-mail or call us at 901-840-2273. Dog Days Of Summer!

Maybe you have heard of the "Dog Days of Summer". Don't let summer get you down, school will be starting very soon. We are very thankful for the young people who have volunteered to spend six or more weeks working at Tipton Cares this summers. They have been a great help! We are looking for more volunteers. We need individuals to volunteer or get a group together, schedule at time and come and volunteer with us at Tipton Cares. Maybe you want to volunteer in your neighborhood or in your church. Let's have a "Food Drive" in your neighborhood. Contact us by e-mail at tiptoncares@gmail.com or at 901-840-2273 to volunteer. It's not difficult to have a "Food Drive" in your church or your neighborhood. It's exciting and rewarding to know that you have had a part in helping your neighbors. When you go to the pantry and see an abundance of good food, please don't forget to think about your neighbors in Tipton County who may not be as fortunate. Working together we can provide "Emergency Food Boxes" to those who need them. Tipton Cares come and see for yourself how it works. Volunteer and get involved before someone else gets your volunteer opportunity. Maybe your co-workers want to volunteers too. We could not do all that we do without our Volunteers.

Summer Savings

We have a limited number of Savings cards available to the general public for those who make a $10.00 donation or more to Tipton Cares. These savings cards are good until August 2010, that's over a year of savings. Fifteen local businesses have agreed to give you discounts on food and other items just for supporting Tipton Cares. Sonic Drive In will give you a free Sonic burger every time you purchase a Sonic Burger. Taco Bell and KFC will give you 10% off on your total purchase. There are savings on Pizza, J.T.'s Burgers and Wings, Lenny's Sub Shop in Millington and many, many more. Call us at 840-2273 to get your savings card today. Limited Number Of Cookbooks Left

Here we are and February is already over half gone. Time seems to go by so quickly these days. We have found a box of Tipton Cares cookbooks that we sold a couple of years ago. These cookbooks have a number of great receipes, as we have tried a number of them. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity today to get one or more copies of this cookbook before they are all gone. For a donation of $10.00 or more you can have your very own copy of "The Tastes of Neighbors Helping Neighbors". Your donation will go to a great cause, of helping to provide emergency food boxes to those in need. These cookbooks would make a great gift, especially ladies for your "Secret Pal". We want to again say thanks to everyone who prays and/or volunteers to help us carry on the work at Tipton Cares.

First Post Of 2009

Thanksgiving and Christmas have come and gone again right on time. We cannot say Thanks enough to everyone who helped us with our Food Drive at Thanksgiving and Christmas and with the Toy Drive at Christmas. We could not have provided assistance to a number of individuals and families without your help. Thanks again to everyone!
